SB Acoustics Satori TW29BN-8 is an advanced beryllium dome tweeter developed for very clean, fast, and precise high-frequency reproduction. Beryllium is an exceptionally stiff and lightweight material, allowing the dome to operate with very high speed, low distortion, and wide bandwidth.

The two-part aluminium faceplate is designed with integrated mechanical decoupling. This helps reduce vibration transfer and improves the dome’s working conditions in the finished loudspeaker. The light silver aluminium finish gives the driver an elegant, technical appearance and fits very well into premium designs with visible aluminium detailing.

Dynamic control is supported by a dual balanced compression chamber system. The tweeter also uses dual copper caps, which minimise voice coil inductance and reduce phase shift. In practice, this translates into excellent clarity, clean detail reproduction, and stable operation across a wide frequency range.

Installation Notes

Satori TW29BN-8 should be mounted in a precisely machined recess, ensuring a flat and airtight fit of the faceplate. Due to the high class of the driver, precise front baffle machining, symmetrical placement relative to the other drivers, and careful crossover design are especially important.

During crossover design, the manufacturer’s reference filtering of 2600 Hz / 12 dB/oct. should be treated as a safe starting point. The beryllium dome must not be touched, pressed, or mechanically cleaned. The tweeter should be stored and installed in a way that protects the dome from accidental damage.

Safety Information

This product is intended for installation in loudspeaker enclosures. Installation should be carried out with the amplifier disconnected and with care to avoid damage to the dome, faceplate, or connection terminals.

The dome is made of beryllium. It must not be touched, crushed, sanded, drilled, broken, or mechanically cleaned. A damaged beryllium dome must not be disassembled or repaired by the user. If the dome is damaged, secure the driver and contact the seller or service provider.
